A CAMPOUT SERIES FOR NATURE GIRLS
For GIRLS ages: 9-12
Sometimes its nicer to just hang out together as a group of girls encouraging each other to learn and grow, sharing stories and exploring the mysteries of the outdoors in a safe and accepting environment. We come together as a circle of friends to practice wilderness skills, crafts and nature awareness routines. Learning with song, story and the seasons we form bonds with each other and the plants and animals of the land. We take the first steps into being powerful women who tend the land and help shape the future with a deep awareness of mother earth.
This weekend camp out series takes place at beautiful Tara Firma Farms, with 250 acres of rolling hills, a pond and a kids village by the creek. It's best to join all 3 camp outs on the series, but is possible to come to just one or two. This series is intended to deepen the skills learned in other Vilda programs, but can also be an introduction to camping.
This program includes our core curriculum and may also include:
- Yoga and movement
- Song and music
- Wilderness skills
- Nature based crafts
- Fire making
- Star gazing
