FEBRUARY Break Camp
AGES 4-6 & 6-10 • San Rafael
The hills are alive with green edible plants, blossoming bay trees, voles, gophers and predators following them. There is so much going on in nature in this season! Its a wonderful time to be outdoors learning about it all. Sometimes we bask in the winter sunshine and at others we shelter next to a fire in the rain, the variable weather is our teacher in wilderness skills and wisdom. We look for animals and play on the hillsides. We collect plants for a wild edible salad. At the end of the day we come together to share our stories and sightings.
In addition to our core curriculum, this camp may include:
Wilderness survival skills
Fire by friction
Fire making basics and safety
Crafting with Wild Edible plants
Archery

With our very varied economical situations in the Bay Area, families have differing abilities to pay. We want our programs to serve as many children as possible regardless of financial situation.
Rate A - represents the actual cost of running a program in this area and is comparable with the rates of several local specialty camps. It funds our long-term goals and work.
Rate B - covers our basic costs for running this particular program, but it does not cover our organizational costs.
Rate C - does not cover the cost of program and is subsidized by Rate A and donations.
