Nature Adventure
We fully immerse ourselves in the forest in this playful camp. We spend our days looking for tracks, building with sticks and finding natural treasures. We learn from the landscape through experiences and play. This place-based camp is for the younger crew and focuses on experiencing the magic of nature in a hands-on, fun way. Timeless exploration, storytelling and free play balanced by creative nature-based activities and games. Group participation skills are invisibly woven into the day. We create a very safe and nurturing environment where it is easy to make friends and feel a part of the pack.
This camp is appropriate for first time as well as experienced campers ages 4½-6½.
In addition to our core curriculum, this camp may include:
Nature based play
Staying safe in the wilderness
Natural crafts and games
Knowledge of local plants and animals
An animal ambassador visit (when conditions allow)
Fort building
A bit of magic

With our very varied economical situations in the Bay Area, families have differing abilities to pay. We want our programs to serve as many children as possible regardless of financial situation.
Rate A - represents the actual cost of running a program in this area and is comparable with the rates of several local specialty camps. It funds our long-term goals and work.
Rate B - covers our basic costs for running this particular program, but it does not cover our organizational costs.
Rate C - does not cover the cost of the program and is subsidized by Rate A and donations.

Location: This camp takes place at a beautiful 40 acre property, 7 minutes from downtown Truckee, CA
Times: 9am - 3:00pm Daily
• Optional early pickup available at 1:45pm each day
• This camp includes a daily nature story time indoors from 1:45-2:15 which often allows our youngest campers to be able to stay the longer hours in our very active outdoor camp, without getting over-tired from the elements.

Age Limits: Our lower age limit for these camps is strict. We are unable to make exceptions for children younger than 4 years and 6 months old.
What if the session I want is full?: Join the waitlist! Sometimes we’re able to expand capacity (and sometimes people cancel). If your spot in the waitlist opens, you’ll receive an email and then have a limited time reserved to register.
